Using Microsoft PowerPoint as a Presentation Tool

Aims of the Half-Day Course

This course has been designed to train people in how to use PowerPoint as a business presentation tool. The course is suitable for people who wish to use PowerPoint to make presentations to colleagues, suppliers or customers. On this course delegates will learn how to make the best use of the features available in PowerPoint to improve the quality of their presentations.

Course Content

  • Basic slide editing techniques
    • Editing text on Slides
    • Moving Objects on Slides

  • Slide Sorter View
    • Changing the order of slides in a presentation
    • Omitting a slide from a presentation

  • Creating a Custom Show
    • Select the slides appropriate to the audience from a large presentation
  • Rehearsing slide timings

  • Techniques to use when running a show
    • Moving between slides (going to a specific slide, restarting the show)
    • Using the pen

Prerequisites

Delegates must have some experience of using Windows software. A basic understanding of PowerPoint would be useful but is not essential.

Course Duration

Three hours (9.30am to 12.30pm or 1.30pm to 4.30pm).
