Architectural Desktop Level One Outline

Aims of the 4-Day Course

This course has been designed for new users who wish to create basic floor plans, add fixtures and equipment, create speciality objects, generate elevations and gain an understanding of the 3D capabilities of Architectural Desktop. The course is 100% hands-on, with exercises to help the trainees practice the new skills they learn.

  • Design Content and Viewing Tools
    • Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment
    • Viewing Tools
    • Drawing Management (Project Concepts & using the Project Navigator)
  • Speciality Objects
    • Structural Design using Column Grids, Columns, Beams & Baces
    • Reflected Ceiling Plans
    • Add & Modify Stairs & Railings

  • Floors and Roofs
    • Create, Modify & Edit Floors
    • Create, Modify & Edit Roofs

  • Elevations, Sections and Perspectives
    • Creating Elevations & Selections
    • Generating Perspectives

  • Documentation
    • Annotation
    • Tags & Schedules

Prerequisites

No previous knowledge of Architectural Desktop is needed, although keyboard and mouse experience is assumed. Trainees must be experienced users of Windows software and operating systems.

Course Duration

Twenty four hours (9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm on each day).
